International Women’s Day – Be Bold for Change Zonta in London

20 February 2017

Come and celebrate International Women’s Day at TOMS in Soho! This year’s theme is Be Bold for Change and the Zonta Club of London II is holding a canapes and drinks evening. We will screen a short film from the educational film-making charity SafeHands for Mothers, with founder Nancy Durrell-McKenna along with Dr Vanessa Davies, Director General of the Bar Standards Board and former deputy Chief Executive of Refugee and Migrant Justice.

Nancy and Vanessa will inspire us to be bold for change in these challenging times and tell us about their respective work in women’s health and the experience of female refugees.

The event will take place at the TOMS London Community Outpost in Soho, and as a treat for our guests on the evening, TOMS are offering a 20% discount, 6pm-6.30pm (discount doesn’t apply to sale items of the Core Classics, and only valid when presenting your event ticket/email). In case you haven’t heard of TOMS, with every product you purchase, TOMS will help a person in need. One for One.

Tickets are £20 each and the net proceeds will go to the Zonta London Fund in aid of various projects, including the great work of SafeHands for Mothers, girls’ education and supplies for women’s refuges. We are a registered charity in England and Wales.

The evening officially starts at 6.30pm, and seating is limited, so please arrive promptly. The event will finish at 7:30pm sharp.
